Human Resource Management Meaning of HRM Human Resource Management is a part of the management process which is primarily concerned with the human constituents of the project resources, so as to achieve objectives of the project. The procurement, development, compensation, integration and maintenance of human factor in the project is highly important for the success of the project and together constitute the functions of HR Admin Department. The following objectives have been defined by the top management for successful completion of the project. †¢ To acquire the right men at the right jobs and in the right number. †¢ To train and develop the procured people adequately. †¢ To motivate, satisfy and maintain high morale of the employees. †¢Ã¢â‚¬ ¦show more content†¦It includes: I. Planning: Determination of required personnel in advance, laying down policies, standards and protocols. II. Organising: Establishing an organisational structure by determining and assigning activities to individual, assigning roles, defining authorities and relationships and provision for delegation and coordination. III. Operative Functions are the one related to the maintenance of HR in the organisation. It constitutes of the following functions: I. Procurement of Personnel II. Development of Personnel III. Compensation and Rewards to Employees IV. Maintenance of Personnel V. Integration Staff role has been defined as †¢ Policy Formulation: It constitutes of preparing programmes concerning recruitment, selection, training, appraisal, etc†¦ of employees in consultation with respective departments. †¢ Advising: The HR Admin department offers suggestions to all other departments like design, finance, execution, etc†¦ regarding management of personnel. †¢ Monitoring and Control: The HR Admin department evaluates actual performance of personnel with respect to policies and established standards and suggest corrective measures whenever possible.
